I don't post many videos here because I'm not much of a YouTube fan and prefer to spend my time elsewhere. I think this one is worth watching through. This is Sarah Haider's presentation from the American Humanist Association's 2015 conference in Denver. The title, Islam and the Necessity of Liberal Critique, is an apt description of the problem Sarah addresses here. I applaud her courage and the courage of ex-Muslims everywhere. As she explains in the video, liberals in the U.S. need to worry less about occasionally agreeing with conservatives or being accused of racism and more about how they are strengthening Islamists by taking valid criticism of Islam off the table.
I think that Sarah is doing us all an important service by raising these issues, and I hope more will support her efforts.
